World wide opportunities on Organic Farms (WWOOF)
We are a Ma, Pa team! We don't have a lot to offer
but it all comes from the heart. This is the jungle there are spider, cockroach, rats, wild pigs, mosquitoes, and other creatures
that come in the jungle. We ask for 14 hours of work in exchange, we provide an adult living space of a private tent with
a wooden floor, screen in area with a real bed, chair and other items. Private tent is big enough to drive a car in.
In fact that is the manufacture recommendation. Shared full kitchen/bath house is solar with water catchments. Bring
a flash light! We have 4 tent spaces; as many as 4 to 6 people here at a time. You are responsible for your own food,
but are welcome to pick your own food off the land.
If you come in on a Friday we can pick you up at the
airport in the afternoon. Call our cell phone 808-268-3809 when you get in. Any other day then Friday you're
on your own. We could pick you up at the Hana airport, small airport cost more to arrive in Hana. Maui has youth
hostel (Banana Bungalow) .May want to check out that side of the island. The Banana Bungalow
does a tour trip to Hana, you may want to check on what day they drive out.
Verzion works well in our area. Our farm
phone # (808) 248-7407. Local Maui calls are not long distance and you do not need the 808. We do have a phone that
you may use with a calling card! Message phone # 808-248-7431. The public library has internet. Cost is $10.00 for a
Library card. You may get your mail through General Delivery Hana Hi 96713 make sure to use your name. If you bring your lab
top you can use my broad band.
We greatly appreciate if you would please let us
know if your plans change. Because when we hold the spot for you and you do not show up, I have pass up a lot of nice people
that would like to come. PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU are NOT COMING. We don't want heavy drinkers. Light drinking is Ok but anything over that you will be asked to leave. We
are a farm so, we have dogs and Cats. If you have any health problem please let me know ahead of time.Bring work clothes,
we gather our Fern Shoots from the Jungle. Long sleeve shirts and pants with cover shoes. Flash light don't forget!
Hana is a Resort town, food is expensive so; get your food in Kahalui. (That is closest to the airport). We delivery
on Friday you are welcome to ride along for shopping, we can drop you off and meet up later for ride back to Hana. We try to find paying jobs, not always happening. We like you to try it out for
awhile see if this works for both of us. I don't want people to be here that don't want to be here. If it works great we are
